  Facility

The project Shree Govardhan is housed on 22 acres of land in a village named “kolha”, district Nanded Taluka Mudkhed. The land has been organized for a cow shed, drinking water wells and storage as well as growing a variety of crops according to the diet of cows age group.
Cow Shed
The cow shed has an area of 100x25 and has a capacity of 100 cows and 50 calves in separate enclosures of 50x25 Using the latest technology, the area has been optimally utilized by creating a channel which enables both feeding as well as drinking water facility in the same location. Land has been allocated for a new cow shed which may be required in the near future.
Feeding Cows
Different varieties of crops are grown to ensure proper feed to cows of different age groups. On 4 acres of land Jayant & Yashvant variety of grass is grown while sugar cane is grown on 3 acres of land. On 15 acres of land maize is grown while jowar is grown on 3 acres. These crops are grown with the help of natural fertilizer viz. cow dung. The cows are also fed according to seasons since crops are grown according to different seasons. The entire area looks like a beautiful school for animals at the foot of hills.
Water
A water well was successfully made available at about 2.5 kilometer distance from the site and a pipe line was laid to supply water to the site.

Another boring well was successfully created at 350 feet depth and this was on the grounds of Shree Govardhan. Despite several unsuccessful attempts by local farmers, no water was found even at 500 feet depth. Since the inception of Shree Govardhan and the presence of the cows, water was found at the first attempt and also considered a miracle.

An embankment was made for drinking water at the edge of the land which would also enable passer-by animals to avail of drinking water. A suitable arrangement has also been made for travelers who pass by. Three storage tanks, 10000 liters each have also been installed on location for uninterrupted water supply for the cows and their care-takers.
Power Supply
MSEDCL introduced 16 hour single phase power supply and 8 hour three phase power supply to villages in order to combat the shortage of power supply.

For Shree Govardhan a special arrangement was done by MSEDCL at a distance of 3 km. An 11KV tapping line for the transformer DP was installed in single phase. This arrangement ensures 24 hour power supply at a cost of Rs 4.5 lakhs (USD 9000)

A 6 room guest house has been specially built to provide accommodation to visitors who prefer to stay for more than one day on site. Researchers and lovers of natural beauty can spend more time in scenic environment and arrangement for food, etc is also made at the guest house.
